Your task.


We are looking to hire a social specialist who will lead the digital media accounts for a major athletic and lifestyle brand in the upcoming months (arguably the biggest brand out there).The ideal candidate for this position has had hands-on experience planning and executing social media organic and paid, developing social media content, strong copywriting skills and a visual eye. The bulk of this experience may have come from being a social strategist or channel planner, but you’ve got a passion for creative expression and culture.

We’d like to know that you can:

  • Launch and maintain a digital content strategy plan across social (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) and digital sites.
  • Manage and plan content uploads to the brand’s social channels each week.
  • Implement on the fly content capture and copy writing, across multiple channels.
  • Lead community management for a brand’s social channels, and have the ability to own the brand’s voice and drive conversation with followers.
  • Participate and understand youth culture- especially in NYC right now.
  • Identify unique and interesting opportunities for storytelling and how to capture it for thumb-stopping content, while on brand for the client.
  • Manage your own time and responsibilities. Some days you at a desk or our in the city looking for content and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with a group of talented creatives and strategists.
  • Participate in client meetings.

The right candidate should also have:

  • 2-4 years of client-facing digital media experience, specifically handling of a brand’s handle across social and digital platforms.
  • A true passion for social medial, bringing your own approach with a distinct voice and POV. Expected to have mastery of the native features and functions.
    Ability to work full time, as an employee of the agency but dedicated to 1 client for the first 6 months. May involve some weekend availability for posting or select event coverage/production.
    At least a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Journalism, or a relevant field.
  • Ingrained in youth culture and NYC Culture.
  • Passion for NYC Sports and a curiosity to dig deeper into what's up-and-coming or on the come-up in NYC.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, plus self-starter, problem solver mentality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (specifically consumer facing copy for digital channels).
  • Direct experience in the following media types:
    • Twitter
    • Instagram
    • YouTube
    • Display
    • Tik Tok (optional)
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs (what's trending, social-first concepts) and work with strategy team to pull insights from social behaviors and data.
