Looking for a Senior Motion Designer to join our NYC office. Must create digital works of art on the regular.

Your task.

Kettle is looking for a Senior Motion Graphics Designer to create new experiences that inspire audiences. The ideal candidate must possess strong conceptual design skills as well as the ability to tell compelling stories in motion.

This role will partner with our designers and illustrators, internal production teams, and management so teamwork is a must. You must have strong design and production experience, as well as solid communication and technical skills.

Kettle is open to hiring someone for either full-time or freelance work.  All candidates must be able to work onsite in our NYC office


  • An excellent eye for composition, timing, and storytelling.
  • Outstanding process, with both good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to research and develop storyboards, create animation sketches, and communicate visual concepts.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines, with strong follow-through abilities.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, flexible and helpful, able to multi-task, a self-starter.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, and how to use these products to create stunning visuals that help tell a story.
  • Able to produce source graphics and layered assets for animation. Create screenshots showing UI.
  • Able to reproduce animation patterns, transitions, and user flows on iOS efficiently and accurately.
  • Should be highly organized, able to work in a collaborative environment, and make on-time delivery of creative assets.
  • Able to troubleshoot issues with animation and compression.
  • Familiarity with Final Cut Pro X.
