Kettle is on the lookout for a Senior Media Strategist (freelance) in our NYC office who can see the big picture and lead us there.

Your task.

We are looking to hire a Senior Media Strategist who will lead paid digital media strategy for several clients at Kettle’s NYC office. In addition to developing overarching paid media campaign strategy plans, the ideal candidate for this position has had hands-on experience executing channel-level marketing strategies and tactics. We prefer freelance candidates for this position (estimated 20-25 hours per week).

We’d like to know you can:

  • Daily participation in client meetings and direct decision making.
  • Drive strategy & process around monthly, weekly, and daily budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in partnership with the planning team.
  • Seek optimization and growth through continuous A/B testing, customer segmentation, creatives, landing page, and lifecycle optimizations.
  • Build automated, multi-touch lead attribution programs across customer lifestyle.
  • Manage a team of mid-level Media Planners.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with a group of talented creatives and strategists to develop high performing campaign assets.
  • Lead the creation of a digital media plans across multi-year initiatives (with over $1MM in spend)

The right candidate should also have:

  • 5+ years of client-facing digital media experience (either at an agency or in-house)
  • Direct experience in the following media types: Paid Social (Facebook and Instagram), YouTube, Display, Search, OTT, OOH, Podcast, Television + Radio (optimal but recommended)
  • Ability to comfortably present to C-suite level clients.
  • Experience in major digital marketing platforms (e.g Facebook Business Manager, YouTube, Google Ads & Google Analytics)
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
  • Strong knowledge of the existing paid digital media landscape and enthusiasm for discovering new, emerging platforms or capabilities that increase efficiencies and engagement
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to comfortably translate large data sets into actionable takeaways and insights
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills (experience with client-facing communication a plus
