Group Account Director

The role

Kettle is a team of passionate, fearless creatives focused on delivering great products, redefining best-practices, and providing new opportunities for our clients. 

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Group Account Director to guide and steer our clients and internal teams towards the best possible work, relationships, and growth. You are not just managing accounts, but actively leading the strategic vision and direction for the client's business in partnership with strategy, design, and production. Your job is centered around communication, strategy, and leadership, and driving meaningful impact, both internally with teams and externally with clients. 

Candidates should have:

  • Extensive experience managing highly complex client accounts at a digital agency or consultancy (at least 1 large piece of business, with oversight of 2-3 others).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including Scope Writing, MSA Development, Proposal Development, creation of presentation deck narratives and slides, and persuasive and nuanced email communications.
  • An innate curiosity about design and technology, and their impact on business.
  • The ability to travel to client locations on a semi-regular basis to build relationships and participate in key meetings and events.
  • Direct management experience, including goal setting, development, and mentorship.

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships at the highest levels within client organizations, showcasing a deep understanding of their business and the digital marketing landscape to instill trust and strive for growth.
  • Lead and guide internal and client teams from kick off to delivery with an empathetic and strategic mindset. You know what great looks like, and model that behavior and ambition with the team.
  • Steer accounts forward and continuously up-level work, through thoughtful staff planning, and getting to know the people you work with for their individual talents.
  • Manage up and across: You make sure Kettle leadership knows about key moments, both wins and struggles, and keep up an open dialogue with your teams about how we can improve, always.
  • Steer executive conversations and ask the right questions at a leadership level to open up business opportunities.
  • Take ownership of all deliverables, delegating when appropriate, and jumping in when needed. 

The target range of base compensation for this role is $175k-220k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
