Kettle is on the lookout for an Associate Strategist who can see the big picture and lead us there.

The role

Someone who has a passion for culture, and understanding how people live and interact with brands on digital today. You’re ideally based in NYC, SF, or LA, or in a key market within a similar time zone, and want to join a team with a collaborative, creative, innovative DNA.

Is it you?

  • 2-3 years experience in strategy related roles.
  • Curious, analytical, insightful, creative, and expressive.
  • Strong verbal and written skills to convey strategic insights, POVs and more.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, creative, collaborative, small team environment, remotely or IRL.
  • Proficient with creative collaboration tools such as Keynote.
  • Experience with social listening and analytics tools.
  • Enjoy contributing to a culture of creativity and innovation.
  • Know how to have fun on the job - we’re lucky to get to do this stuff!

What should you be great at?

  • Staying abreast of the ever-changing digital media and content space, to stay on top of cultural trends, create trend reports, and more.
  • Collaborating with cross-discipline teams of copywriters, designers, strategists, producers, and account leads to work toward common project objectives.
  • Research! Consumer research, competitive research, identifying and analyzing benchmark brands, competitor audits, and analysis.
  • Creating strategic POVs on important updates, topics and trends.
  • Using social analytics to help drive decision-making and provide insights and optimizations to inform future content, campaigns, or client-facing reports.
  • Turning social analytics and research findings into Strategic thinking across all types of strategy, especially social media, editorial, campaigns, etc.
  • Writing briefs that can get the creative team headed in the right direction, and provide strategic guidance through the process, all the way to the finish line.
  • Creating Keynote presentations that communicate your work in a clear, concise narrative.
  • Planning and publishing social content for clients, or for us!
